Wear a pair, share a pair
Jollies found out that socks are the most needed, but under-donated, item of clothing homeless shelters receive. So in an effort to make a difference, they started a more-than-profit sock company. A company that sells socks – so it can give socks. Their strapline, ‘Wear a pair, Share a pair’ sums it up, for every pair you buy a pair also goes to a person in need and they’ve now donated to more than 50 charities.
Launched in 2012 Jollies set out not only with a social mission, but a quality mission too – to make the best socks they could. Organic cotton is the key material, and a well thought out design means a quality, long lasting pair of socks are the result.
Jollies have also thought about the end of your socks life. Instead of landfill, send your old socks to Jollies – in their pre paid envelopes provided – and they’ll find a way to reuse them. If they’re in good condition they’ll be passed onto a homeless charity, or if at the end of their life they’ll be sent to our recycling partner, Edward Clay & Sons, who will repurpose them back into valuable industrial textiles.
