Food inspired ethical jewellery
Little by Little was founded by two friends, Annabel and Georgina, an ethical jewellery designer and a food writer. When these two worlds combine you get the collection you see on The Good Edit – a beautiful ethical jewellery collection inspired by food!
The Little by Little business is built around three pillars – empowerment, sustainability and transparency. Empowering women, championing a responsible social and environmental supply chain and transparency in their sourcing of materials.
Designed by Annabel in the UK and then created in Lima, local Peruvian silver – mostly recycled – is used throughout their collection. The factory used for production was founded 32 years ago and employs 350 people, many with no prior experience. Training provides local people the opportunity to learn the art of jewellery production and to build a career for themselves.
Creating a generous business is at the heart of Little by Little and their partnership with the Luminary Bakery helps empower the UK’s most disadvantaged women to reach their potential. Following their 6 month training programme women are supported for two years on their journey to sustainable employment and independence. Each purchase made with Little by Little provides another day of training for a woman on the programme.
Little by Little are constantly evolving and their goal for 2021 is closed loop production – reusing materials to design waste out of their processes.
