Ensuring every centimetre of fabric is used via their Offcuts Collection
Organic cotton is used throughout the Fabelab range, sourced via a GOTS certified partner in India
From biodegradabale sugar cane bags instead of plastic, plastic free windows on all product boxes, to corn fibre or recycled polyester for filling toys.
Sustainable imaginative play
Fabelab aim to inspire creativity and playfulness with their organic collection of toys and accessories.
Committed to doing business sustainably, they are always evolving their operations to further reduce their environmental footprint. The Offcuts collection is their latest initiative to ensure that every centimetre of fabric is used, with zero waste. Waste fabric is used for dolls house accessories, small soft toys and any other interesting playthings the team at Fabelab can imagine!
Waste paper packaging is turned into craft projects for the little ones who visit their Copenhagen based concept store and their vision is that all product packaging will be able to be reused creatively by children in the near future.
Organic materials are core to their range and they aim to fill their products with organic cotton or recycled polyester wherever possible. Many items are now also filled with corn fibre filling, which is the most well-rounded, natural option for washing and retaining the shape and life of the product.
Products are made in India, in a GOTS certified manufacturing facility. The Fabelab owners visit the manufacturing team to verify the standards of good working conditions, as well as the product quality processes on a regular basis.
