Beautifully handcrafted and guaranteed for life
Risdon & Risdon don’t make your average aprons. Their aprons and accessories are made with unbelievable attention to detail – and with durability at their heart. The Risdon trio of Mum, Carla, and sons Alex and James, design and handmake everything in Shrewsbury, England.
Every material element is considered and used with purpose. Nothing frivolous here – everything does a job, and a very good job. Seven materials make up the aprons and bags we stock on The Good Edit.
Italian Candiani denim is known as the greenest denim in the world; Sustainably harvested cork from Portugal and vegetable tanned leather from Italy are used to create durable and beautiful straps; British foundry metalware forms the buckles and studs; and corespun thread provides the strongest stitching.
With a focus on products that are built to last, Risdon & Risdon have sustainability at the forefront of their business model. Their lifetime guarantee is testament to this, with any workmanship or material flaws repaired or replaced for free.
Relationships with suppliers are well researched and direct, ensuring shared beliefs and complete transparency. Waste is non existent in their workshop with all scraps and offcuts given to Scrappies – a charity supporting the creative arts and children’s education – and even their banking provider, Triodos, is one of the worlds most ethical companies.
